School Schedule Update: Upcoming Partial Virtual Learning Day

There is a 1:00 PM student dismissal on Friday, April 11.

The remainder of Friday, April 11 is a Partial Virtual Learning Day. 

Students are expected to complete virtual learning classwork offsite as directed by their teacher(s). Students have the opportunity to complete the learning task(s) and activities within two days after returning to school to accommodate for needed supports, accommodations, and/or electronic access issues.

The Ottumwa Community School District is 3.5 hours short of the required 1,080 hours due to weather cancellations. To meet this requirement, a Partial Virtual Learning Day is proposed for Friday, April 11, from 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM. This approach prevents adding extra days at the end of the year or splitting the makeup time across multiple Fridays.
